Péter Bíró’s lecture at the S10 Academy

On September 11, at the S10 Academy, we listened to Péter Bíró’s lecture, which was a great experience for all of us. We are glad we could be there, because we heard interesting stories and at the same time learned many useful things.

Péter spoke about his athletic years and how the values of discipline, respect, and accountability carried him forward in his later career. We were deeply moved when he shared his personal stories—for example, that he is a 9/11 survivor, and how profoundly this shaped his life and way of thinking. One of the strongest messages of the lecture was that ethics is the heart of every community and organization. It is not enough to have rules: trust, shared values, and good examples are just as important. These are the things that hold a team together in the long run. It was a wonderful feeling to be there, to listen together, and to learn collectively. We felt that we could also carry these ideas with us—not only for our future, but in our everyday lives as well.
