World Chess Festival

Gellért- Sense Chess Robot 1:0

This year’s World Chess Festival was also very exciting for me. First, my sister Kata and I participated as assistants in a chess match between Judit Polgár and Péter Ács. It was exciting to experience such a game up close, where the difficulty was that there were only white pieces, so the players had to keep in mind which piece belonged to whom.

However, the main attraction for me was my match against the Sense Chess Robot. I played an exhibition game against the machine, which moved on its own, on the main stage. It was a great experience; I had only seen something like this on video before. After a fierce battle, I finally won the game, which I am particularly happy about.

The atmosphere was fantastic, as always. It was good to meet many volunteers from the Foundation and to see the excellent program options. I hope I can participate in the Chess Festival in some form next year as well!
