Ready, Set, Drive!

Thanks to the Csányi Foundation, I had the opportunity to start working toward obtaining my driver’s license – a huge milestone on my path to independence. As part of the scholarship program, I gave a presentation to the younger students about safe driving. In my talk, I discussed traffic regulations, car maintenance, and the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The kids enjoyed the session and participated actively. They learned the basics of traffic rules and the importance of keeping vehicles in good condition.

When I found out that I would receive support for this, I felt incredibly motivated and immediately began the traffic theory course. The learning process was not always easy, as there were many rules to memorize in a short time, but I studied diligently and eventually passed the theory exam successfully. That was a huge joy for me – I felt that I had already taken the first big step.

After the exam, I was able to start the practical driving lessons, which brought new challenges. During the first few sessions, I felt quite uncertain behind the wheel and needed some time to get a real sense of how to handle the car and adapt to the rhythm of the traffic.

Although I haven’t reached the end of the process yet, I now feel much more confident when driving, and if everything goes according to plan, I’ll take my driving test later this month. I’m excited and, of course, a little nervous, but I trust that all the effort I’ve put in will pay off.

I am very grateful to the Csányi Foundation for this incredible opportunity and their support – without them, I probably wouldn’t have come this far.
