Continuing the Journey of Self-Discovery in Kaposvár

We have launched a new series of sessions with the students of the K1 group, focusing on personal development. The second session took place on Saturday, February 8, at the Kaposvár Community House, with self-confidence and self-esteem as the central topics.

As a master’s student in psychology, I aim to use my acquired knowledge to support the group members through interactive and engaging activities. They are currently in a sensitive phase of their lives—being seventh graders, they will soon have to decide which high school to attend and adapt to a new environment in secondary education. My goal is to help them better understand their emotions and ambitions, enabling them to gain clarity about their thoughts, values, strengths, and weaknesses—essential for a balanced life and successful relationships.

During the sessions, we placed great emphasis on group reflection, allowing everyone to share their thoughts and realizations with the group. These honest conversations fostered trust among the students, helping them open up to one another with increasing confidence.

The topics of future sessions will be developed in close collaboration with the students and their mentor, Zsuzsa, always considering the issues and challenges that currently occupy their minds.

I believe it is crucial to engage in meaningful conversations with the children, helping them uncover hidden strengths while identifying challenges to overcome. I sincerely hope that this initiative will not only be beneficial but also a memorable experience for them, and I eagerly look forward to seeing their progress in the upcoming sessions.
