On our project day in February, we looked forward to the upcoming Spring. The flu seriously decimated the team, but we accomplished two tasks with those who were present. First of all, we made chocolate hearts on the occasion of the upcoming St. Valentine’s Day. For this, Attila was the “head chef”, he was responsible for the chocolate melted to the right temperature, into which we also mixed candied orange peel. When it was ready, the mass was inserted into the heart-shaped molds. In the meantime, we have prepared the gift boxes in which we can give to the chosen one of our hearts – or from which the singles can eat…
The chocolate took a long time to cool. Until then, we started tidying up the yard. Uncle Sanya said in advance that this would not be a small task – he was right. Plants can grow a lot in one year. Both our hedge and our trees grew a lot of leaves and twigs, if we hadn’t cut them back, sooner or later they would have overgrown everything. We also raked a lot of leaves and dried plant remains from the garden, even though we collected several bags in the fall, some fell only in the winter. With the exception of a lunch break, we spent most of the day outside, which was not a problem, because the sun was shining brightly. The chocolates, which had cooled down by the afternoon, were carefully taken out of their molds and distributed. They turned out OK, although there were a few that got a little air-bubbled. We preferred to eat these pieces quickly. When we were done with everything, it was an uplifting feeling to look around the beautified yard and we were quite surprised at how many bags we filled with green waste during the day. -Szentes group 1 members
