Researchers’ Night in Szeged

We were there again (26. September).

Members of group 3 from Szeged went to take part in an exciting night this Friday. Last year we explored the world in 3D and this year we sank into the world of chemistry. We headed to the Biology Research Centre of University of Szeged where we examined fungi and bacteria through special microscopes. We had a closer look to pathogen fungi and bacteria specimens and now we know how yeast looks like and how it helps to make cakes. After this we marched to another station where we made pH colourings and learned about the biochemical reactions in grape juice and wine. At the end of the experiments we could taste the different grapes that we used for our experiments. Of course, we did not modify anything on these grapes. Next year we are planning to have a closer look in medical biology. We are really looking forward to next year’s Researchers’ Night.
