Logic Workshop in Mohács

“On Saturday morning, we held the first logic workshop with the youngest group in Mohács. We started with a warm-up game to get everyone awake on a Saturday morning, and then quickly moved on to more thought-provoking tasks: there were math, language logic, and ‘handy’ games, so hopefully, everyone found something that interested them. During the last challenge, the children had to solve a ‘housing complex’ puzzle, which was essentially a logic puzzle similar to the popular Sudoku. Although the program lasted nearly three hours, the children were still diligently trying to fill in the last numbers in the puzzles even at the very end. I hope we’ll have the chance to continue the work we’ve started in the spring!”
-Balogh Ádám, volunteer

“On this day, we got to participate in development and logic games. They were really funny and a bit difficult, but we could improve our logical skills and then see what we were capable of. There were very tricky tasks, and some made us think for a long time.”
-Magos Hanna, Group 3

“When we entered the session, we first started with a logic task. I remember it was called ‘Pass it on!’ The second game involved figuring out how many triangles were on the board. I think this was the best game of the session, so we asked Ádám bácsi to play more like this, and he gave us another triangle game. The next one was a matchstick task where we had to create as many triangles as he told us. This was actually my second favorite game. The next task was the housing complex. Here, we had to arrange houses numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4 in some way.”
-Katona Hanna, Group 3
