On Saturday, we participated in the FIRST LEGO League – Debrecen regional qualifier, where 12 teams competed in the categories of Lego robot programming, Lego design, innovation and core values. We were excited because we had prepared a lot for the competition. We were able to compete in a family environment where we had the opportunity to meet other teams throughout the competition, making new friends and connections. Our innovation project to help visually impaired people so impressed the judges that we were awarded first prize. We were awarded second place in the Core Values qualification and second place overall, qualifying us as one of the 16 best teams for the national finals, the FIRST LEGO League MASTERPIECE National Finals. We would like to thank our coaching teacher Lajos Zeke and our mentors and last but not least the team of Atlas, Rise.
