Balaton project

The Balaton project continued in Kaposvár, where Group 1 spent their Saturday at the Digital Knowledge Center. The children had already explored Balaton legends and stories, which they are now turning into animated films.

“On Saturday, we headed to the Digital Knowledge Center, where we are creating animated films as part of the Balaton project. First, we learned a bit about the history of animated films and how they are made. Then we planned the backgrounds for our stories, which we will create using a laser cutter and the Inkscape program. We had done something similar before during the Superhero project when we made storyboxes, so the task wasn’t entirely new to us. After that, we drew the characters for our stories. By the end of the day, we even had time to create the title sequence for our film, which will be about Lake Balaton, using the stop-motion technique.”
— Viktória Weisz, Kaposvár Group 1
