’Trip’ to Singapore

The presence of Yina during the English lessons was very useful for all of us, because English was the only lingua franca.

This way, the children could practice their language skills. It motivated the class as they have not met anyone before who came from a faraway place like Singapore. With Yina’s presentation we got a glimpse into the culture and customs of Singapore people. We compared the two countries and it enriched both the students and Yina with information about each other’s home. It was revealed again that language knowledge is very important because it makes us able to communicate with people from other parts of the world. As a language teacher, I found Yina’s presentation very useful. She encouraged the students to talk with funny games, which proved her excellent pedagogical skills.

Thank you for your help and visit.
