7 medals at the international competition
On 17th May 2014, Saturday the third GALGA-SZAC CUP international karate championship was organised in Kartal. The event was listed on the WUKF World Association official event list, which means that many nations, association represented themselves on the Cup (396 individuals and 63 groups registered for the championship). The Wado-ryu karate club from New Szeged enrolled 7 competitors and came home with 7 medals: 2 golden, 2 silver and 3 bronze. The group became the 13th in the championship. In the ‘under 12 age group’ Rully Vanda had a bronze medal from kumite and became 5th in Martial Arts Kata.
