The first parent-teacher meeting for the newly selected “Gólya” (Freshman) group took place on June 2nd at the Pécs Community House. The new scholars and their families from Pécs Group 2 were excited to meet again and continue their journey together.
The afternoon began with a viewing of a short film about the spring selection process, bringing back fresh memories for everyone. We then discussed the upcoming Gólyatábor (Freshman Camp), which the children are looking forward to with eager curiosity—just like the start of the school year in September.
Meanwhile, the children got to know one another better through board games and lively conversations, guided by their older peers, the “junior mentors.” While the kids bonded, the parents received important information about upcoming events and responsibilities.
Of course, some administrative tasks also had to be completed. The children signed their first academic agreements, which outlined their commitments as new members of the Foundation. Each child received their very own “Csányi hoodie,” which they immediately tried on with great joy.
We also had time to answer any questions the parents had. Looking ahead, we’re planning a group team-building event, where all members—young and old—will get to know each other better and form study pairs for the next school year.
