Chess Festival with the Queens of Chess

On the 29th September 2013, the greatest chess festival of Hungary took place in the Palace of Arts in Budapest

In July 2013, the Csányi Foundation and the Polgár Judit Chess Foundation announced mutually a tender for young students in which 33 supported students of the Foundation participated. Their outstanding achievement was recognised by this invitation to this high standard programme.

Three children from Csányi Foundation could play simultan chess with the Queens of Chess, Polgár Judit and Polgár Zsófi. Besides chess there were many colourful programmes for children and adults as well. They could test a special skill developing chess programme, there were music lectures and the youngest could prepare nice chess related objects in the Arts and Crafts corner.
The standard of the programme was elevated with the presence of Hungarian actors, singers and the legendary chess player, Garri Kaszpaov, was with this this evening. After congratulating the Chess Olympic winner Hungarian Woman team, everyone had a slice of cake. The programme was closed with photo shoots taken together with Polgár Judit.
