Volunteering

Friday afternoons are usually project days at the Community House in Jászberény, but this afternoon many of our partners were off to the section pre-selections, so with some of the children from Jászság 4 who stayed at home we helped pack the caps for the Jászság Youth Volunteer Team Association. We also took the plastic caps we had collected with us to Jászapáti, where we were met by a farmer’s farm with huge big-bag sacks and Csaba D. Tóth (the association’s leader). The task was simple, to transfer the caps from the smaller to the bigger bags into the big canvas bags, because it would be easier to transport them that way.

This year, the money raised from the caps will go to the Blue Butterfly Foundation for Autistic People in Jászság, so we are trying to raise as much as possible. After the work was done, we visited the animals on the farm and Csaba invited us for a delicious ice cream. We thank him for that. Andrea Hábenciusné Balla, mentor
