At the weekend, the “new” Csányi Band organized its first rehearsal. Students arrived here from Nagybajom, Szeged, Jászberény and Kaposvár.
The different age groups were all really looking forward to their first rehearsal at the Liszt Ferenc Music School’s rooms in Kaposvár. They were also going to be a kind of a test and also a discussion about next year’s plans. Saturday morning started with hearings. In the first half of the day, everyone performed their musical talents. Then there was a singing lesson, where Enikő Lukácsi, music teacher, helped the students with a warm-up singing exercise and then she gave advice to the children concerning singing techniques. While they were having a sining lesson, the others with instruments got an improvisation exercise and they also started thinking about building up their repertoir. There is going to be a 40 minute long performance at the Summer Fete, where they could perform their songs.
