Arts and technology

“We have entered the First Lego Leauge Challenge again, as we did last year, with the Jász-stones team members aged 11-15. This competition will consist of two parts, the Lego robot programming, where the robot we build has to solve tasks on a given track, and the innovation project, both with a given theme: art and technology. This is one of the most exciting projects of our community centre, and the second time I have had the pleasure to be involved. We’re past the first step, which is brainstorming. Amongst many other things, there was talk of bringing the arts closer to people with disabilities through technological innovation, but also of innovating our exhibition space to attract more visitors, for which artificial intelligence is now almost indispensable.

Our youngest Chania peers in the group helped to bring this phase to fruition with tremendous drive and soaring imagination. Before brainstorming, we discussed together what art meant to each of us. We came to the conclusion that everyone has a branch of art that is close to them, that they are good at or that interests them. We realised that art is very important in our lives.

We are supported by our developer Lajos Zeke, Ákos Csertán, Éden Forgács and Benjamin Rigó, media design specialists from Atlas, rise, who have worked on many similar projects. It’s very uplifting that they are so helpful and that they have such a positive attitude towards our ideas, it seems that nothing is impossible for them, they are creative and always thinking of possible solutions. That really impressed us! Work continues with good humour and great enthusiasm. We hope to have an innovation plan in place by February 2024 that will enable us to be successful again. Thank you Atlas, rise for your selfless help!” Márk Kaptás, Jászság Group 1 and member of the Jász-stones team
