Sunday experience at MüPa

On the 24th January, groups from Kaposvár and from Jászberény had the chance to see The Wooden Prince by Béla Bartók.

It did worth getting up so early and travelling a lot! During the performance, it was really nice to see how talented the dancers are and we wondered how much they could prepare for this fantastic performance. As a musician, for me the Symphonic Orchestra from Szeged was the most amazing part. Different musical solutions made it easier for us to understand the movements of the dancers. During my musical studies, I learnt a lot about Bartók’s life, musical work. He was a multitasking person: collecting folk music and songs, studying Wagner, Strauss and Ferenc Liszt’s works. I respect Bartók for his patriotism and for his successes during his lifetime. Thank you for this experience!
