Busy Saturday in Kaposvár

On September 27, the students spent a truly busy and fulfilling day at the Kaposvár Community House. Members of Groups 1 and 3 gathered for a variety of programs. In the morning, university student Levente Lassu conducted a practical and engaging session on outlining for both groups. The students not only learned useful techniques but also received reinforcement on how important thoughtful and organized note-taking is for successful learning.

For Group 1, Tímea Magyar held a preparatory class for the upcoming central entrance exam, a particularly relevant topic since most of them are eighth graders facing an important decision soon: choosing a high school. Alongside the exercises, a relaxed discussion took place, allowing everyone to share their expectations and questions regarding this major challenge.

Meanwhile, the members of Group 3 worked on tidying up the community house. They enthusiastically weeded and swept, and later attended a mentoring session, which provided an opportunity for more personal conversations. The day’s highlight was a shared lunch, which served not only as a well-deserved reward for the day’s work and learning but also as a chance for members of both groups to spend informal time together.

There were still tasks in the afternoon: the students completed their missing individual portraits. By the end of the day, all participants had gained experiences, knowledge, and a sense of community—providing a fitting conclusion to a lively Saturday.
