Mohács is for everyone

“We held a session on Saturday as part of the Mohács 500 project. In preparation for the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mohács, we can participate in a long-term project. For the first time, the students talked about the background and history of the battle. At the first stop, we took part in a history lesson together, where we also learned about the consequences of the defeat. At the second station, we looked at the costume and weaponry of the 16th century. We looked at which words of Turkish origin we use in everyday life. At the third station, we learned about Turkey, and at the language station, we did some games. As part of the project, we would like to see what traces of the battle and the Turkish occupation can be seen in our city today. And with the help of our 3D printers, we want to recreate the battle on a field table. We are looking forward to the next event!” Viktória Prevácz and Larissza Kertin Bogdán, Mohács Group 1
