Today, Katinka Kálló – a design engineer-artist (and tattoo master) – took over the leadership of the creative part of the Mohács 500 project for Groups 1 and 2. The children worked in small rotating teams on various creative and logical tasks. Activities included coloring Hungarian hussars and Ottoman spahis, a customized “Knights and Knaves” logic puzzle with a Mohács theme, and educational reading texts. Meanwhile, Group 3 participated in a logic workshop led by Ádám Balogh, where the kids had to think outside the box.
“This Saturday, we worked on the Mohács 500 project. We solved many colorful tasks, including logic puzzles, educational texts, and creative activities. We had to form teams and started solving the tasks that way. My team began with coloring. The project took up the whole morning, but we really enjoyed it. My favorite part was when we had to color a picture, cut it into paper strips, and glue them onto another paper so that one image could be seen from one side and the other from the opposite side. Our university student mentors helped Katinka throughout the session. I already really like Katinka because she’s so helpful! For lunch, we had goulash and pancakes. I can’t wait for next Saturday when we’ll continue with this topic.”
