“Among the youth of the Nagybajom Community House, several are facing higher education studies again this school year. To ensure that students approaching graduation and higher education admissions have as much information as possible regarding the admission process, as well as the university faculties and majors they are planning to attend, we sought advice from an expert. Lilla Becsei, a career orientation counselor, has worked with several of the Foundation’s groups for years and continues to do so to help young people with their further education. This was no different in Nagybajom, although here it took place in an unconventional way-online, taking into account the weather conditions and travel circumstances.
Lilla established a direct connection with us very quickly at the beginning of the presentation. After her introduction, she tried to reassure everyone that doors never truly close in our lives; instead, there is always a ‘side door’ through which we can enter and move forward. At the start of her lecture, she explained the types of higher education programs and where and how we can progress even after completing a bachelor’s degree. We went through the registration process, and she guided us through the felvi.hu interface. We used the points calculator, and she provided us with several practical tips. She answered our questions, such as where and what documents need to be obtained to have potential extra points accepted. She also held individual consultations for those who had deeper questions on the subject. She offered her further assistance should we get stuck.
