I successful completed a 6 weeks long online course of University of Michigan.
I was searching for free online courses when I found the perfect one offered by the University of Michigan and after 6 weeks of hard work I am proud to say that I completed the course with a total result of 97,7%. I decided to start the course called „Questionnaire Design for Social Surveys” as it would be very useful for me in the next semester. The course will help me a lot in writing and editing my „TDK” essay that is an approximately 50 pages long scientific essay about a chosen topic. On the website where I found this course many famous American universities offer a wide variety of courses in different topics. After finishing a course they send me a diploma with my name and the completed course’s name on it. The course consisted of videos made by the Professors of the university and at the end of each week I had to complete a test and a big exam at the end of the 6 week long course. During the course I also had to make a project that I presented the other students whom I shared my opinions with. I realised that all of the students were from different countries so this gave the whole experience a multicultural feeling.
I honestly think that besides the interesting lessons I gained new experiences in the field of online studying and I also could practise the English language. Moreover, I made a lot of new friends from different cultures which is a great thing. In the next semester I’m planning to search for and start a new course offered by the same or another American university. Cserna Vivien, Jászság I. group
