I am an engineer

7th of July was a big day in my life because finally I graduated from the university of Szolnok where I studied Agricultural Engineering and Rural development.

I chose this course because I grew up in the countryside and nature always had a special place in my heart. From my young age I loved spending time outside and discovering different plants and bugs so this specialization sounded really appealing to me. After the first open day that I attended at the university I immediately knew where I would like to continue my studies. Szolnok is relatively close to my town so despite being a dormitory student I always had the opportunity to visit my family often without travelling for long hours. This school was really special for me because It was like a big family. Everyone was very kind, friendly and helpful which gave the place an amazing feeling. During my studies here I always tried to keep myself busy by doing multiple things at a time because I’m a really energetic and active person. Besides attending my classes I was also an active member of the Student Council where I had the opportunity to be the financial leader for a year.

The farewell ceremony was a beautiful and unforgettable event for me and for my family as well. The best moment was surprising my family with the farewell speech. It was the longest 2 weeks of my life but I managed to keep in secret that I was asked for holding it from all of the students. Getting my degree was also a moving moment and I also recieved two awards: the HH award for being an active member of the Student Council and a special diploma for my outstanding results from the rector of the university.

All in all these years were absolutely amazing and I will never forget the time spent here. I am planning to continue studing in Budapest and getting a Master’s Degree as a Plant Protection Engineer and currently I am waiting for my exam results as this specialization has strict rules in order to get in successfully but we are hoping for the best. :)

I would like to thank the Csányi Foundation for supporting me during these years. I can’t express how thankful I am.
