Since we saw so many wonderful photos of the frozen Lake Balaton, some members of Kaposvár Group 1 and I decided to see the spectacular sight for ourselves. On Sunday morning, we set off for Fonyód, where we first had a bird’s eye view of the water from the Szaplonczay promenade, and then admired the frozen Lake Balaton up close. Even after that, there was still more ice to be had, and we finished the programme at the outdoor skating rink in Balatonboglar.
