Lego Animation, Further Studies and Reading Comprehension in Kaposvár

On Saturday, October 11, the young participants of Kaposvár 1 and 3 groups spent a meaningful and eventful morning together at the Kaposvár Community House. The program was divided into two exciting parts, as each group focused on a different activity.

The youths of Group 3, under the guidance of mentor Zsuzsa Fenyő and with the help of university student Levente Lassu, created Lego animations. The children worked in four smaller teams, aiming to craft diverse mini-stories based on their own ideas. Alongside Lego figures and elements, the children’s imagination was the most important building block: they enthusiastically brainstormed, built, and filmed. The collaborative effort resulted in charming short films – still simple and brief animations, but with the school year just beginning, there will be plenty of opportunities for growth and new creations.

“I really enjoyed that we came up with the story ourselves and then brought it to life with Lego figures. It was a bit tricky to set everything up, but the result was really funny. It was great to work together with everyone – everyone contributed good ideas. I can’t wait to make an even longer film next time!” – Máté Kalocsa-Kovács

Meanwhile, the 1 group focused on preparing for the Hungarian central school entrance exams under the guidance of university student Timi Magyar. The main theme of the morning was essay writing, where Timi offered valuable support, drawing on her experience as a published writer. The students received many practical tips on how to better express their thoughts in writing and how to confidently prepare for the upcoming exam.

Alongside studying, there was time for a small discussion: the students shared which high school open days they plan to attend and where they aim to continue their studies.

By the end of the day, everyone left enriched with experiences, new knowledge, and motivation.
