On the first day, we arrived in the evening to the Community House, where our mentor and two volunteers welcomed us. After having a nap, we started making dinner together. We played with the X-Box after our candle-lighted dinner and then we watched a film in English with Hungarian subtitles in order to enhance our English knowledge. After this movie-night, we went to bed.
Group 2 of Szeged spent two days in the community house (18th and 19th June).
In the morning, after the delicious breakfast, we visited the Eko Park, where we took part in a team-building activity. We also had our lunch here.
After lunch, we visited the free-beach next to the River Tisza. We thought that besides swimming, we could catch a very important phenomenon, “the blooming of the Tisza”. Unfortunately, the weather was not okay neither for swimming nor for this phenomenon.
Despite the bad weather, we went dragon boating. Some of us has tried this on the River Tisza, but it was a huge experience for all of us, to float on the Maros estuary while Martin was giving us the tempo by playing the drums. During the tour, we could see and take photos of birds living around the water.
At the end of the day, we went back to the community house where we had lunch and went to bed.
