Just like last year, the Jász-Stones team was the only one from Hungary to qualify for the First Lego League – Open Africa Championship, which this year was held in Cape Town. Last year, the team was welcomed at the airport by junior mentors from the freshman camp; this year — given the May schedule — it was our university students who greeted the globe-trotting team with a warm welcome.
After a long wait, we finally caught sight of the travel-weary team about half an hour later, pulling their luggage behind them. Amid loud cheers, the two groups mingled and quickly fell into lively conversation.
We are incredibly proud of the Jász-Stones’ achievement, and we hope to welcome them the same way next year as well!
