The place was rather muddy and a huge number of stinging plants were around us. We hid and waited quietly for the nesting birds to come out.
We succeeded: after a while they appeared in the cloudless skies, and we tried to shoot some photos of them during flying. Later Peti bácsi led us to a pond full of water flees, tadpoles and frogs. As the water level was low, the braver ones could even walk inside the lake and seek out animals. One of the most exciting parts of our trip was when Peti bácsi stepped on something and then lifted it out of the water and – to our amazement – we saw a European pond turtle in his hands.
We returned to the city with many experiences and photos.
