On Saturday, the Kaposvár Group 1 held a truly unconventional project day. During the morning session, the children worked out the foundations of a documentary film project: they split into two groups, and each team planned the creation of a short film with a different theme. Together, they decided what the films should be about, what visual style they wanted to portray, and what scenes and interviews should be included in the production.
The careful planning was followed by exciting fieldwork. In the afternoon, part of the group visited Lake Balaton, where they were welcomed by a rarely seen natural phenomenon: the surface of the lake had frozen to such an extent that it was already possible to skate on it. The goal of the youth was to capture this special state while conducting interviews and filming footage.
However, the work was not just a task, but an experience as well. Even if they didn’t put on skates, all the children stepped onto the ice sheet and tried out the feeling of sliding on the frozen Balaton. The sight of the seemingly endless, shimmering ice fascinated everyone, and the sunny, bright weather made the afternoon even more memorable.
