The final matches and the Gala match were organised during the Walk of Life Day.
Four teams (green, purple, dark blue and light blue) were playing the matches to win the championship. On Saturday in the intense heat we could see many close and combative games. One of the matches and the final ended in a tie and only penalty shoot-outs could bring the end of the matches. Finally, the purple team won this year’s Football Championship and the Challenge Cup. Dark blue, light blue and green teams got positions respectively. Congratulations for all teams and players. We hope that more students will chase the ball next season.
The Gala match was played on Sunday. The Foundation was represented by its champion team while the opponent team was Hungary Women’s National Football Team. The children were eager and happy to play against the women’s national team. With good matches the players could reach a tie and only penalty shoot-outs brought the end of the games with a goal scored by Pádár Anita record-holder of the team. At the end of the Gala match, the skipper of the Women’s National Football Team, Smuczer Angéla, handed the gifts of the Hungarian Football Federation to the players of the Csányi team.
After the matches Nyilasi Tibor and Csányi Sándor Dr gave the well-deserved prizes to the best players of the Foundation.
