Since we moved into our new ’hostel’ in Budapest, we have been planning something together. As, the ’Nemzeti Vágta’ was organised at this weekend in the ’Heroes’ Square’, we decided to visit this event and also the ’ARC’ exhibition (21. September).
The ’Nemzeti Vágta’ was organised now the seventh time and this is the country’s horse fiesta, beside as it is a race, we also think about the culture and the traditions. From almost all parts of the country racers and also spectators are coming to this event. The atmosphere was amazing, to see the people backing, the kids laughing… Not far away from the Heroes’ Square, there was another event, the ’ARC’ exhibition, which we also visited. There were several good topics, about the social and the political situation nowadays, they were also trying to answer the question: What do you believe in? We all had favourites between the posters.
As we are university-goers in Budapest, we are facing a wide range of variety in the cultural life. We hope that we would have other chances to improve our cultural knowledge together during our studies here.
