Behind the scenes of advertising

This year, the S10 Academy’s program includes an especially exciting and practical course.

As a teaser, we participated in an open day where we got an inside look into the daily operations of Café Communications, a renowned advertising and communications agency. This opportunity provided a unique chance to experience firsthand the diverse and creative work that goes on in an advertising agency, how campaigns are developed, and how advertising films are created. The program began at 10 a.m. with an engaging quiz that quickly broke the ice and set the stage for the day’s excitement.

We were then guided into the world of creativity, where we learned how ideas are conceived and who the professionals are behind these brilliant concepts. Presentations revealed that the success of advertisements relies not only on creative concepts but also on the importance of strategy. A presentation on strategy clarified that determining the right direction is essential for an effective campaign.

During the day, we also explored how advertisements reach their target audience and the platforms where they appear. Following this, a delicious lunch provided an opportunity for informal discussions where participants could share their thoughts and impressions. The post-lunch session featured a talk on the role of social media, which is a crucial tool for promoting campaigns today.

We also got a glimpse into the PR world, learning how a campaign enters public awareness and the key role good client relationships play in successful collaborations. The event concluded with ice cream and informal conversations, allowing participants to discuss the day’s experiences and get to know the Café Communications team better.

It’s important to emphasize Café Communications’ commitment to high-quality work and client satisfaction. Their partnership with OTP Bank, one of their major clients, is a perfect example of how long-term, trust-based collaborations can lead to outstanding campaigns that are not only effective but leave a lasting impression on the target audience.

Overall, the open day provided valuable experiences and knowledge that will be indispensable for both those interested in the advertising industry and future communication professionals.
