On January 16, 2026, the Jász-Stones team of the Csányi Foundation participated in the FIRST LEGO League UNEARTHED Regional Final in Debrecen. The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Debrecen provided an excellent venue for the competition again this year, where a total of seven teams competed, of which only two advanced to the National Final. Our team delivered an outstanding performance: we achieved first place in the categories of innovation, robot design, robot game, and core values. Thus, we won the Debrecen qualifier!
During the robot games, we managed to achieve stable, high scores throughout, and we also performed excellently during the innovation and robotics presentations. It was a particular pleasure that the younger team members also had the opportunity to compete in live rounds, and they performed successfully as well. Overall, the team worked very well together and participated successfully in the competition. Although not everything was perfect, there is always room for improvement. The new team members also integrated quickly and participated in the work with focus and enthusiasm throughout.
We are preparing with great excitement for the FLL National Final in Budapest, which will be held at the end of February!
