Family Day for Group3 in Szeged
On the last day of the summer holiday, the members of group 3 in Szeged, parents, siblings had a family day together in the garden of Pápai Panna’s parents. The idea came on the second parent-mentor meeting, giving the possibility also to the parents to meet each other during a friendly barbecuing. Panna’s father, Pápai Péter, offered their garden to organise the first family day there. From 9 o’clock, the parents arrived to the house decorated with the Foundation’s logo. The parents prepared the lunch together under the inspection of Péter. Not only cooking but also homemade bread baking made the morning even more colourful. The result was obvious because the little pieces of bread disappeared almost immediately. There was homemade fruit juice for the children to drink which was made on the spot. While the parents were cooking and baking, the children were playing in the garden, jumping in the trampoline, playing table tennis, swinging and the group inaugurated the new car. Everyone contributed to the success of the day with sweet cookies, fruits or with their helping hand in the kitchen. After lunch, the parents had time to relax and chat with each other. Neither next day’s school, nor school opening ceremonies for some families could shadow the good mood of the group. Before the first school day it was good to have a real summer garden party together with the students and their families.
