Talent Selection 2025 – Pécs

In 2025, the Csányi Foundation announced an application for its Life Path Program—a talent development initiative—for talented, disadvantaged children who are completing the 4th grade of primary school in the 2024/25 academic year. Within the framework of this program, a maximum of 15 children from Szentes, 15 from Pécs, and 15 from Nagybajom and its surrounding region may be selected.

Pécs – March 21–22

The selection days also began in Pécs, where 18 children arrived with their parents or guardians. The first challenge for the young applicants was completing Hungarian and mathematics competency tests. Meanwhile, the parents and guardians were given a deeper insight into the Foundation’s operations. On the first day, Virág Flibert, and on the second day, Lajos Nyári—both university students from the Pécs Group 2—shared their personal experiences. Afterwards, Dr. Miklós Radoszáv, the Foundation’s Chief Operating Officer, gave a presentation on the Foundation’s principles and emphasized the importance of long-term cooperation.

To close the morning, both children and their companions took part in drama sessions. In the afternoon, applicants presented their portfolios.

A special highlight of the weekend was the presence of Edward Papp, CEO of SMP Solutions Zrt. and a trustee of the Foundation. He actively participated in the programs and attentively observed the portfolio presentations. We thank him sincerely for his involvement.

We are deeply grateful to the mentors from Pécs and Mohács, as well as the junior mentors from Pécs, for their dedicated support, which helped ensure the smooth execution of the program and contributed to a day full of enriching experiences for both the children and their families.
