My first literature competitionThis year is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Arany János, thus Arany János Primary School in Szeged commemorated this event with a series of programmes. I did not hesitate a lot to participate in this programme and I started thinking which poems of my own could be suitable for this event. Of course, there were many literature categories but poems are the closest to me.A few years ago, I started writing poems as a hobby and I did not think than that one time I can enter into a competition with my art. But the day has come when it all came true.A few weeks ago came the news saying all the contestants and their literature teachers are invited to the Literature Coffee Afternoon in the school. I hardly could wait to be there, the organisers were really friendly, there were funny games, which led us to the identity of the names of the third and second winners. There were extra prizes in the category of poems and novels. When everybody was waiting for the announcement of the name of the best performer, I was very excited, not to mention when I heard my name. That was the day! It really made me happy as this was the first time I entered into a competition. Members of the jury shared their views on my poem and strengthened me that I have talent in writing poems.
