Wandering in Brighton

The afternoons were not boring either. We enjoyed our programmes, some offered by the language school and some organised by us and our mentors.

We can hardly believe that ten days have passed since our last report. They were ten wonderful days of wandering round in Brighton. In the mornings, just like in the years before we had English classes. We thought it interesting and useful that, unlike in other years, we had a chance to take part in classes of the English students at the school. We could see what kids our ages do at the school. The local students were helpful and the tasks were interesting. We could talk very well and we learnt a lot about each other. The afternoons were not boring either. We enjoyed our programmes, some offered by the language school and some organised by us and our mentors. In the first week we could still find new places in Brighton. We sat down on the lawn of the Royal Pavilion gardens and enjoyed the sight of the colourful mix of people walking through, street performers and mothers with their babies, etc. The royal palace is the most famous sight of Brighton. We went bowling in the Marina, to the Booth Natural History Museum, where we could learn the English names of loads of birds, even ones that we did not know of the existence of. We could not leave sports out of our lives, we went to the sports hall of the school and quickly made international teams and played football, table tennis and badminton. János Kiss, Enikő Andalics
