Creative writing section in Szentes

This year, for the fifth time, the Creative Writing section has arrived in Szentes, where we’ll spend a week creating together. Once again, the group — now joined by new members — is looking forward to an exciting week, during which the small joys of everyday life will take center stage at the Community House. Each morning, we will explore the theme of the week through our writing, while also getting to know literary genres such as the ode, the hymn, and the diary. The afternoons will primarily be about relaxation and gathering inspiration, with the program including excursions to Szeged, visits to the Botanical Garden, bowling, and swimming.

On Tuesday morning, we began the day with yoga and meditation to tune into the creative work ahead. Then, under the guidance of Gyula Pege, the campers delved into the world of absurd literature, drawing inspiration from Örkény’s one-minute stories.
