Creative day

In the exhibition At the Carrier Day, “I Am Who I Am” contest, we won a creative day combined with our museum work, which we have now implemented. We started with a walk in the Buda Castle District in the morning and then admired the Matthias Church, the walls of the neo-Gothic church are full of wonderful ornaments and colorful glass windows that fascinated us. Then we went to the Castle Garden Bazaar, where we participated in the museum-pedagogical work of the Subjective Exhibition, which is currently undergoing renovation of the Museum of Applied Arts. The interactive guided tour was interesting and exciting and we learned a lot about applied arts and objects. After lunch, we had a surprise program and attended a jewelery workshop at the Dragée Creative Shop. When we entered this little jewelry box-like shop, they were eagerly waiting for us and then they showed us what kind of jewelry we could make and how to make them. We learned how to combine different parts of jewelry, how to stick them together. Lots of beautiful jewelry for everyone to take home. We were in a very good mood, it was a pleasure to work together! Thank you so much for this wonderful day!Tilda Tamasi, Noémi Kiss, Gréta Kállai Jászság 3.

Today we had a special day in Budapest with our felted companions. We watched the Castle Garden Bazaar exhibition, which was quite different from the usual. After all, “Adventure! Journey to the World of Applied Objects ”, in a museum education lesson, they not only told the names and origins of the objects, but also learned the origin of the objects through playful tasks. Artist Katalin Básti guided us around and told us about the works. The jellyfish-shaped lamp, which was everyone’s favorite, was surprising but very creative, so the light penetrated through the jellyfish, so it chose this shape. But we’ve seen countless things to think about. They were funny, very fancy, colorful, shocking, serious, and we could go on and on. The workshop led us to how to think about different creations and how many different images we can approach. For us, the most shocking was the fabrics in Afghanistan, with tanks and weapons on display instead of motifs. We also managed to figure out the oldest of hundreds of years old shoes. We recommend this interesting exhibition to everyone! The jewelry making workshop was fantastic, we had a great time, beautiful pieces were created! Thank You!
