Being a volunteer at the Csanyi Alapítvány.
We arrived to the camp as an experienced volunteers, but we were able to learn a lot from the kids, and also from the teachers. We took apart of the games and programs with the kids, and we helped them to move forward in these learning processes. We made a lot of friendships with the kids on the first days of the camp. The kids were happy to ask the volunteers, because they felt that they can ask for help at any time, and they knew that we are trustful. In the mornings, the kids had drama and learning method classes, where they could make new friendships between each other. The main point of the camp was when the kids could jump into the cold water after the games, because the weather was so hot, so they had to cool themselves for an hour or so. In the evenings we talked a lot about the old days of the foundation. We enjoyed the work with the kids, because they were so kindly and clever, so it wasn’t hard to work with them, and also it was enjoyable for both of us. Thank you for the opportunity, and we hope that we will have a chance to come back next year as volunteers again.
